CAE – Computer Aided Engineering
As Advanced Accessory Systems has grown to become a leading supplier to the automotive marketplace, we have developed business with a very diverse customer base. This has resulted in the need for Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) capabilities to support multiple customer requirements. AAS supports all major software packages used by the automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers including: Unigraphics, SDRC Ideas, Catia V4 and Catia V5. These software requirements are specific to AAS customers and are updated regularly to accommodate their changing needs.

Electronic communication of technical and engineering data is especially important to the successful implementation of a program. Often this communication is conducted through Computer Aided Design (CAD) capabilities. AAS is directly connected to all major customers through the use of secured lines. Whether your needs require the use of OEM specific software or third party software, such as AutoWeb or Teamcenter, AAS understands and supports the importance of timely and secure electronic communication.

At AAS, Computer Aided Engineering does not limit its services with design. Through the experienced application of in-house Mold-Flow Analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), AAS ensures that our designs meet, or exceed, the demanding requirements of our customers before ‘kicking off’ the cutting of that first piece of steel for the associated tooling. This is critical in the execution of a successful product launch, as even the most robust design will not be satisfactory if it cannot be manufactured as designed.
